Redesign of the tablet packaging
Lovechock reduced its Ecological Footprint
Lovechock has redesigned the packaging of its chocolate tablets to give them a more stylish look and to reduce its environmental impact. The chocolate manufacturer's foil packaging has been plastic-free since 2011. But Chief Happiness Director Franziska Rosario saw further potential for environmental impact and wanted to further reduce the ecological footprint. With the relaunch of the packaging design it is possible:
- to reduce packaging material by around 20%
- to significantly reduce CO2 consumption, because the packaging material is no longer sourced in the USA, but locally in Holland
- to produce the complete packaging without bleaching
Chief Happiness Director Franziska Rosario: „A packaging that looks sophisticated, fresh and chic while being environmentally friendly – that's possible! By redesigning our tablets, we have managed to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. After the complete abolition of plastic since 2011, we want to set an example in terms of environmental impact with our completely compostable packaging.“
