Everyone has their own associations with food and fragrances when it comes to Winter. What is yours? For Fran, Chief Happiness Director, the taste of Winter meant mandarin and typical spices like cinnamon. To create this particular seasonal chocolate, William came up with a very special process. 

The organic, hand-peeled mandarins were imported from Spain during harvest season. Once arrived at the Lovechock factory dried for over 48 hours on a low temperature.

“Together with Product Manager, Efraim, we processed the mandarins all by ourselves in the Lovechock factory. Requiring lots of craftsmanship, attention (and patience!). Resulting in the love for our consumers.” - William (Chocoalchemist).

After drying they pulverized the peels into a pure mandarin powder. Infusing the cacao butter with this mandarin powder resulted in a full-bodied mandarin flavour. Which perfectly matches the dark raw chocolate. Later in the process, they added the delicious gingerbread spices. The result? A friendly and accessible taste with the loving warmth of Winter flavours.
